1980年代後半、パンク精神の熱気とアイリッシュ音楽の大衆感覚を融合して英国ロンドンのストリートで

絶大な人気を誇ったバンド。シェーン・マガウアン（vo）を中心に82年頃結成。

ライヴを重ねるうちにジョー・ストラマーやエルヴィス・コステロといった先鋭たちの共感を惹き付け、

英国音楽シーンの寵児となった。91年にシェーンが脱退し、バンドは96年に解散。

しかしその後、たびたび再結成し、ライヴを行なっている。

最近ではFUJI ROCK'05のハイライトを飾った。


偉大な酔っ払いバンドに乾杯！！

ソウルフラワーユニオンのアルバムの中でもっとも聴きやすい一枚がこれではないでしょうか。チンドン・

沖縄音楽・アイルランド音楽・ロックが見事に調和した一枚です。

はっきり言って名盤です。
